The origins of Sothertons Brisbane can be traced back more than 60 years to a firm known as Rust & Mercer (then a partnership of C. R. Rust & H.H. Mercer). After various changes of both name and personnel the firm became a member of the National Sothertons Association of accounting firms in September 1985.

Today, the firm consists of four partners backed up by a highly trained, dedicated team of professionals and support staff.
